The pain eases itself
I do not know what it wants
It comes out of nowhere
and it burns things around
It makes me half-blind,
The curtains fall on the future
only making me see the past,
but it even chooses that
cast aside the rest and only see the bad.

The pain eases itself suddenly
with no rhyme nor reason
but it leaves scars
threatening to return
if I ever forget.
I’m supposed to take care of it
I suppose
another thing to carry while it's already unbearable.

The pain eases itself,
I suppose the only constant is change
maybe that's life,
to learn to live with the pain.
I just wonder, what is the lesson,
what is the world trying to tell?
What should be the next move
what ought to be wise,
Comical maybe the conclusion,
there is no lesson.
A joke with no punchline
Falling flat before your eye.
Sometimes things just happen
and it doesn’t always make sense.
